Start Your Search NowFounded in 1916 in Dayton, Ohio, Vulcan Tool Company began as a modest tool and die shop, quickly establishing a reputation for high-quality craftsmanship and innovation. The company played a vital role during World War II by manufacturing machines essential to the production of military equipment, which significantly expanded its capabilities. In 1945, Vulcan Tool Company acquired Dayton Tool and Engineering Company and the facility that remains its headquarters today. The company further enhanced its product line by licensing and eventually acquiring the Brehm Division, becoming the steward of the renowned Shimmy Die, a precision trimming tool designed over a century ago and celebrated for its speed and accuracy in trimming stamped parts and hydroformed tubes. Vulcan Tool Company revolutionized high-speed tube cutting with its chipless supported shear tube cutting machines, setting new standards for precision and productivity. Their product portfolio includes Shimmy Die Trim Tooling, Hydroform Trimming Machines, Tube Cutting Machines, and the Vulcanaire Spindle Attachment, an air-operated system that converts mills or lathes into high-speed grinders for efficient finishing. Beyond manufacturing, Vulcan offers comprehensive services such as precision machining, prototype to production, precision waterjet cutting, machine and part repair including hydraulic cylinders and electrical control panels, welding and fabrication for industrial fixtures and equipment, as well as custom design and build solutions. The company is ISO 9001:2015 certified, ITAR compliant, JCP certified, and recognized as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), actively supporting veteran employment initiatives. In 2020, Paradigm Industrial acquired Vulcan Tool Company, ensuring continuity of operations in Dayton, Ohio, and maintaining its status as one of the longest continuously running manufacturing operations in the region. Vulcan is a founding member of the Dayton Regional Manufacturing Association and remains committed to delivering innovative equipment, expert training, installation, spare parts, machining, and welding services to support global production needs. Their skilled team of craftsmen and engineers is dedicated to helping customers succeed by providing quality service and custom project assistance.
