Founded by Pam and Joao Martins in a modest one-car garage in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, the company initially specialized in producing small components for valves and assemblies using a small tool-room lathe. Rapid growth soon necessitated leasing larger facilities, allowing Martins Machine to expand its product offerings to include larger and more critical valve components and to serve new industries such as copper wire extrusion and turbo pumps. After relocating to Camden, South Carolina in 2005 due to leasing challenges, Martins Machine continued to diversify its manufacturing capabilities, adding industrial filtration and rail car braking systems to its portfolio. In 2010, the company solidified its presence by purchasing its own facility in Lancaster, South Carolina. Today, Martins Machine proudly serves a broad range of industries including industrial hydraulics, automation, and electric motors, while maintaining longstanding relationships with customers in the valve, turbo pump, and wire extrusion sectors.
