Diversified Tooling Innovations, LLC (DTI) is a well-established, women-owned manufacturing company specializing in precision machining and tooling solutions. Founded in 1988 by Julieanne and Milan Milosevic, DTI began as a small operation in Sturtevant, Wisconsin, and has since grown into a significant player in the tooling industry. Initially operating out of a modest rented space with a few refurbished machines, the company quickly expanded its capabilities and workforce to meet increasing demand. By 1991, DTI had moved to a larger facility at 1219 Frederick Street in Racine, Wisconsin, eventually purchasing the building and incorporating as an LLC in 1993. Over the years, the company has developed a strong reputation, particularly in the die cast tooling sector, leveraging efficient manufacturing plans to ensure high quality and competitive pricing. In 1999, DTI relocated to a much larger facility featuring 45,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 9,000 square feet of engineering and administrative offices, allowing for continued growth and the addition of new customers. The company emphasizes long-term partnerships with its clients, focusing on understanding their total needs, including pricing, quality, and delivery. DTI invests in modern machinery, equipment, and information technology to support just-in-time (JIT), Kanban, electronic data interchange (EDI), and vendor-managed inventory (VMI) systems, ensuring timely and tailored service. On February 17, 2023, Diversified Tooling Innovations was acquired by Wrought Washer Manufacturing, a Milwaukee-based manufacturer of washers, bushings, and spacers. Despite the acquisition, DTI continues to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, maintaining its customer relationships and focusing primarily on machining, while Wrought Washer concentrates on stamping operations. This strategic move expands Wrought Washer's CNC and tooling capabilities, strengthening its position in automotive, construction, heavy truck, large equipment, and industrial markets. With a combined workforce of approximately 140 employees, the partnership is geared toward mutual success and enhanced service delivery.
