D&R Machine Company, INC., established in 1997, is a leading full-service machining provider based near St. Louis, Missouri. Starting from a modest 900 square foot facility focused on repairing and rebuilding customer machines, the company has grown significantly over the years. By 2000, D&R expanded to a new location on Route 67 in Alton, Illinois, and in 2003, it established Alton Machine Works, a full-service machining repair division operating out of a 30,000 square foot facility within the Alton Steel Business Park. This expansion helped solidify D&R’s reputation as one of the premier machining shops in the Midwest. In 2010, to accommodate growing market demands and enhance machining capabilities, D&R relocated to a larger facility near St. Louis, Missouri. Currently, the company operates two facilities totaling over 75,000 square feet, offering comprehensive services including CNC and manual machining, steel mill services, fabrication, welding, repair, rebuild, engineering, and design. In 2021, D&R further expanded by acquiring property in Blytheville, Arkansas, adding an additional 24,000 square feet of space equipped with four bridge cranes and a combined lifting capacity of 170 tons to better serve its customers. With a team of over 40 employees bringing more than 200 years of combined experience, D&R Machine Company delivers versatile solutions across various industries. Their expertise spans handling raw cast parts to complex assemblies, working with standard metals and high-performance alloys, and providing emergency repair services for critical components such as chocks, bearings, gearboxes, mixers, shafts, and overhead crane parts.
