Founded by Carmen Palmieri, the company began humbly in his basement where he innovated on a small Italian cookie iron design. From these modest origins, Carmen expanded the business by building a foundry and later purchasing property to accommodate growth. His son John brought technological advancements and automation to the company, including a fully automated sand casting system that drew admiration from a national electronics manufacturer. In 1976, C. Palmer invested in aluminum die casting technology, enhancing product quality and efficiency. The company continued evolving under the leadership of the third generation, Philip, who modernized operations by integrating computer systems and transitioning from sand casting to die casting. In 2000, responding to increasing demand, C. Palmer expanded by opening a second facility in Maryland, now operating as C. Palmer Die Casting. Today, the Maryland plant produces a wide range of products serving the fence, automotive, giftware, medical equipment, and electrical industries.
